The star in the middle of this route is not drawn on purpose — it is a real star-shaped building. Run the ramparts of Kastellet, a 17th-century star fortress, and a five-pointed star appears on the map.
You start in central Copenhagen to the southwest, run northeast to draw the star at Kastellet, go up the Langelinie waterfront to the north and back, and finish near the Little Mermaid statue. True to its original name "Rodagem 50min" (Portuguese for an easy 50-minute run), it is a relaxed easy-run route.
How the drawing works
City stretch — An almost straight run northeast after the start. On the map it looks like the tail of a shooting star heading for the star.
Star — The loop along Kastellet's ramparts and moat. The ramparts stick out at every point of the star, so just running them draws it.
Waterfront out-and-back — A straight line up toward Langelinie and back.
Before you run
About 7.2 km (4.5 mi) and nearly flat. It is point-to-point, so plan how you will get back.
Kastellet is open like a park, but it is still partly a military site with set opening hours. Check them for very early or late runs.
The Little Mermaid area is very busy with tourists during the day.
Copenhagen is a bike city. Do not run in the bike lanes.

With GPS art, the highlight is the moment the drawing is complete. Just before the finish the camera pulls back to show the whole finished picture.
Add a text like "Copenhagen Star Fortress Run ⭐" to make it even more fun.
The route drawing and sample run (time, pace, heart rate) are examples generated from the map route. Before running it for real, check local conditions such as traffic lights, construction and closures.
